It's been nearly a year since I've posted here, and with good reason.

Several things have changed in my life.

Jay dumped me.
I got my first job.
Got engaged.
Got into my first car wreck.
Bought my first car.
And I'm now in the process of getting my first place.

Along with these changes, I have now started posting on my MySpace. This is now where you can catch up with me, should you choose to do so.

Much love,

Samantha

My mom just got a call on her cell phone so I went downstairs to get it for her and answered it, and a male was on the other line. He said "Hello?" and it was a slightly fuzzy connection. He mumbled some things that I couldn't understand very well, and I also heard another male in the background laughing and said something to his friend, I think. I figured they must have been from another country. He asked me who I was, and I said, "No, who are YOU?" He hung up.

So I get my mom to look up the first three digits, of an 11 digit number on google. The only place that made sense was Austria. (However this could be wrong.)

Then we get a text message on her phone that reads exactly like so, "Hello! My name is Pahsa. What is you name? :)" Of course, we don't have the ability to text message, and there's no way in hell I'd respond to that anyways.

Our new persistent friend "Pahsa" then called a second time, mumbled some more shit in either a language I didn't know or REALLY bad english. I asked him twice if he knew where he was calling before he hung up.

My luck with idiots with phones hasn't been very good as of lately. :/

UPDATE: 1 NEW MESSAGE: "I from Rassia. I would like to get acquainted with you?"

And then again, "Why you are silent?"

*headdesk* These'll just keep on coming.

We just got a call from someone looking for a person who doesn't live here (I couldn't catch the name). They said "Ok" and hung up. Then they called again, asked if it was the "so-and-so residence." I said no and they hung up again.

Then the hang up calls started. They listened in for a few seconds and hung up. So by the 4th time I told them in a raised, stern voice, "We're calling the cops. Stop calling." and they hung up. Then the 5th time rolled around, and I finally said, "Fuck off!" and they hung up. 6, 7, and 8 were to follow. All of the calls happened within 5 minutes, or shortly there under.

Finally my mom called the operator, spoke to her a moment and then hung up. She did *69 to get the last phone number that had called us (we don't have caller ID). The number was for a residence in our neighborhood, so she called and a woman answered. My mom told her about the situation and that we would call the police if the calls didn't stop. The lady explained that it was her mother-in-law and that she had Dementia. She told my mother she would keep the phone from her. Needless to say, the calls stopped.

I looked at my mom and told her, "I kinda feel bad for saying 'fuck off' now." :p

Oops.

It's nothing gross or anything. It's some weight loss thing. It's "Ayds!"

Today was my very first GED prep class. I had to be there at 9 AM which meant I had to go to bed early last night, but it wasn't so easy. I spent the night feeling hot and tossing and turning, not able to turn off my thoughts and fall asleep until 2:30 AM. I got a good 4 hours of sleep. x.x

Roz was kind enough to walk me to school this mornin' (Myrl came with us too, of course). We got there about four minutes before 9 AM. I was directed to the classroom, feeling nervous as hell, and sat down. I quickly calmed down once the class started. The teacher (an older, wise gal) announced that she'd be running class in a bit of an informal way, which made me feel better. And as the day went on things got easier and easier. I was surprised that it did, considering I had not been in a classroom since Kindergarten.

Each week we'll do one whole Unit of the book (like Lanuage Arts Writing, Science, Math, etc.) until at the end of the 6 weeks all six units are completed, which means we'll have plenty of homework to do. We'll also be doing two essays per week. It's definitly more than I was expecting but I'm up for the challenge!

The class ran 'til 12:45 PM. We ended up doing a five paragraph essay about whatever we were observing at the time, or something we've observed before. I chose to do an essay on observing Myrl playing in the backyard. I think it came out pretty well! But we'll have to see just what the teacher thinks of it on Friday.

First post here for the new journal. Hallelujah that I actually got a new LJ name I can stand. "Lycheeninja" was just boring me and I'm done with it. So, last night I searched up some names on some name lists online and found this one. It supposedly means "pure" in Dutch, but who knows how true that is.

This journal will have mostly "Friends-Only" posts, except for some posts that I'll make public when I see fit.

Now it's on to messing with a color scheme.
